Allie sent me these and asked me to post them.
One of the many facts about Allen
on April 16, 1975 he caught a Pallid Sturgeon on 8 lb test. It remains the North American and World Freshwater Record at 42 lbs 4 oz. Apparently it would have weighed even more had it not sat in the front yard and bled out while he waited for Fish & Game
Edit: I'm doing research now to see if it is still the world record

Awesome!
So where did "Sam Martin" come from?
And is there anything that can be gleaned from his alter-egos:
Tuan DeLusion and ToeJamCheeseHog?

Aloha to Ouch's family. A life is celebrated, and thank you all for sharing too.
(What I learned about sharks in a previous life. They have a high concentration of ammonia in their blood stream. If you bleed them, the meat tastes better. It might be the same for sturgeon, also cartilaginous. The wisdom of an elder will be missed here on the taco.)
Aloha from Santa Cruz.

Curious, was Ouch! a climber? If not how did he happen upon SuperTaco to display his talent and creativity? And how did he know how to make all us climbers laugh so hard?

He looks like my favorite Uncle! The one that has repeatedly changed my heartbreaks into funny situations. The man that bought me my first sleeping bag and told me that nothing is better for the soul than the outdoors.
The one that keeps a full tank of gas, first aid kit, humor and a shotgun ready just in case any of his little girls need him.
You can't help but love somebody like that.

The more I find out about our buddy, I can't help but think that we lost somebody more special than we've known. It makes it all more saddening to me. It appears as though he wanted it that way though. What a truly great and humble soul.
I miss you, dude.

Ouch's passing is a terrible loss. Not only to those of us
who loved him on the taco, but to everyone he touched with his
kindness.
