Sometimes it really doesn't feel like it. Sometimes it feels like -- we are all doomed . . .
But then a story like this happens and it brings real tears to my eyes and hope. I have hope.

Obama has more than doubled financial contributions from veterans stationed abroad than McCain. Obama also pushed hard for the new GI bill, which McCain opposed using falsehoods and hears to justify and then didn't even bother showing up to vote for or against. He has been described by veteran's advocates as having a "bankrupt" policy of veteran support in his time as Senator.

Well, I guess most of all the vets from Iraq and Afhganistan you will probably call commies, come Nov. 4th.
I call them "American Heros with a conscious." They love our country and so do I.
I just don't love some of the politicians who have attempted (and in many ways have succeeded) to ruin her by gutting her of her Constitution, rights, freedoms, incredible wilderness, resources, and her once strong healthy economy. They (Bush/Cheney Neocons) have done this all for personal gain and total absolute control, nothing more. They do not love our Country.
It is treason if you ask me.

You know who has it tough sometimes, are the high level officers that are sworn to uphold the orders of the president, but know that they are in a tough situation based on the tortured logic of invasion and moreover know exactly what happens on the ground wrt to success or not.
But i suppose you can't have the military go their own way, or it would be open season for a military coup/treason.
yet they seem from my outside perspective to superbly still manage to do their jobs and bow out if they disagree with policy if they have to.
we really do have a bitchen country when it comes down to it. it has it's flaws and idiotic leadership from time to time. may our lives be full, safe and adventurous!

Talked with my mom the other day. She's not voting for McInsane or UnPalinitable either, citing the photoshop picture of Palin's face on the flag-bikini bimbo holding an AK-47. I'm hoping there's enough gullible folks like my mother who will fall for that kinda stuff come election day...love ya mom!
