a social experiment?
For sure. Goatboy and I were chatting at the boogaloo about it a bit. I'm on there playing anyways, and on here...and it seems I'm not alone. More fun playing folks you know than total strangers...though most of us on here are pretty strange...
I'm pretty much a novice too...so easy money over here...

words of a hustler. I might be interested though, we'll see how much traction you get with this.

I thought it might come out that way... but I have yet to withdraw money out of the poker sites...the brother is another story though..
Someone on here was boasting about buying kitchen appliances with online poker winnings...who was that?

Red cards are worth more than black cards, right? That's what they told me down to Buford...

I don't know. Sending Guido out to collect a debt from a fellow ST'er may cause some considerable problems on the forum. Especially if Guido ambushes said forum member/climber on a climb.
Headlines Now....Guido attacks Nose Party for past due poker debt...Filmed for all to see by "Mr. Bridge."

What game is that? err...I mean, yes! That's spot on Jay;)
EDIT:
private cash games or private tourney
That's up for debate...though I prefer tourneys to cash games...

don't know how many of these guys were physicists...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIT_Blackjack_Team
I'm terrible, but my dad was brilliant at cards... lots of bad feelings there actually, mostly over gambling.
Of course, 21 isn't poker...
For gambling in general, it is easy to see that the house maintains an advantage and that means that sooner or later, you're going to give them your money.
For poker, it's individuals against each other, perhaps more interesting. I'd rather do physics.

Poker is probability, and that leads to, UGH, statistical mechanics.

Jaybro, I think I've led a sheltered life, snipe hunt ? I know they are imaginary birds that you send people out to look for and, of course, they never find.
But Indian Poker is for real....and you can play for cookies...or maybe L's Jello Cake...MMMMM, yum.
Ed, I'd go with the physics too. Much more rewarding and no losing guilt to wake up too. Not that I'd know. I am surrounded out here in the boonies with Indian Casinos...but I work to hard to lose a days wages in a few minutes...
Edit: It takes me hours...kidding of course.
