Hey Rok, we totally agree on this topic! Man I love debates, good wholesome, neuron firing fun.
Yeah what got me is just seeing the big lady being dragged around. Very true this is tame, they can do a lot worse, but it is the symbolism in this event that irks me.

so maybe we don't totally agree. I wouldn't have arrested them...
but yes, big fat people, however peaceful and humane they may be, do tend to be fragile.
F*cking pigs...

I would've caught this fat f*ck in the face with the trucks on my deck, then hoofed it!

Cops are the personification of the brutality that most of us live under in this country all the time.

The majority of us do not feel represented by our elected officials, yet continue to be forced into paying ridiculous taxes.

The taxes are used to wage unjust battles of all manner, but we're made out to be freeloaders for wanting our own damn money back in the form of universal health care, etc.

What hangs over our heads should we think about not paying up: criminal charges, prison time, etc., all backed up with the threat of the brutal blue ape wearing a Sam Brown.

Why isn't the government a "welfare mom" or "freeloader" when it takes our money? I guess because mugger and thief are more appropriate.

A people are controlled by fear and demoralization. The police are the front lines of this.

Most of us are smart enough to have learned to stay away from the cops when we were kids. Any adult too stupid to do what the rest of us learned as kids probably deserves to have his head cracked by an out-of-control cop.

That wasn't brutal lol. Just a big girl who took a spill and didn't get up. I've had worse experiences in junior high on the lunch patio.

GDavis, eating pavement wen you are in high school, tripping over yourself or being shoved down is one thing...
When you are promoting PEACE of all things and you get shoved down by someone that probably got shoved down too much in school, who is in the law enforcement is another story...
PEACE!

Oops, I mean

Fck cops. Every cop just wants to HURT and MAIM and KILL everyone. EVERY DAY thousands of americans are BRUTALLY MAIMED by STUPID PIGS! I HATE THE ESTABLISHMENT! The other day I saw a video where a drug dealer wanted for murder shot at a policeman, and the cop shot back. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO???

It looks like they had a permit to march for peace. There are hundreds of citizens lining the parade route. They did not get involved, just looked on in shock. What was the issue?

"God Bless Abbie Hoffman, RIP. Someday his murderers may become known. "

what do you think, Rox? Anyone?
wonder what Abbie was working on?
something new, or did they off him for "retaliation"??

Myself, I don't think he ever "quit",
not his style...

Rok,
not me dude. I would rather die with a skateboard in my hand then a gun, ANY DAY. thats is going back to my ROOTS.
he skateboard thing was an entirely different situation, city, time, scene, etc. I probably wouldn't deck the guy, even if he deserved rather I would have been a total back talking smart ass, and probably would've been arrested. Violence definitely does not promote peace, and I would rather promote peace any day.
her is the video, albeit repetitve

Raydog, what about Hunter S. Thompson? Do you think he offed himself?

"Thank you for the kind words. I can assure you that many here absolutely do not agree with you. These folks view my presence here as sort of akin to a plague on the forum."

LEB, I felt gratitude for some of the stuff you wrote about meds/
mental illness - I think it was in the suicide thread...good work, IMHO.

now, back to those big bad cops...

RE:
"
Raydog, what about Hunter S. Thompson? Do you think he offed himself?"

my feeling i he wasn't a credible enough threat, but it's
hard to say what he digging up, or what his "eyes" were
doing...BUT, the game HAS changed. New Rules.
He may have been a risk, not altogether impossible.

I don't think "conspiracy" everytime someone dies, but -
well, Abbie was hard core, you know.

Political assassination = routine,
business as usual, IMO.

(sorry for the drift)

What are you saying GDavis? Huh? hehehe
I'm not big on conspiracies, but Thompson was working on stuff about the towers coming down with a controlled demolition (lets not turn this thread into another) but apparently he was talking to his wife on the phone, told her to hold on sec, then she heard gunshots. Sounds fishy.

And what about John Lennon?

Lennon had a sh#t-load of power, no doubt.

Hinkley?

RE:

yeah, that would do it...
guess the story got out, anyway.
Thompson may have been part of the
"mop up".
