Does anyone have any information on any routes on these formations?
I heard there was a climb put up in the 80s called "Silmarillian" and would appreciate any info on that or other climbs there.
Thanks

Have you checked the Sequoia/Kings Canyon guide? I don't have mine handy.

I noticed when I went to lunch that my Seq/Kings Cayon guide was in my truck, I looked it up and nope, it isn't in there.

Thanks DC, I'm pretty sure that's the line I was looking at last time I was up there.
Any newer lines? or is that it so far?

I knew ec would show up...show us the pics. I was hoping you'd post in my 'the other Valley' thread. Show us Kings Canyon, we won't f-k it up.

man ive been gawking over those things for years.
I wondered when someone would bring it up here. always wished I tried to get in touch with Jack Roberts about it. I have seen his partners name Mark Menge somewhere else but cant remember off the top of my head.
I have struggled to find someone who will go up over sawmill pass to get to it, and the time for it; as this place looks like it requires multi days to get full value.
PowderDan- Do you have a mans best friend named Jedi? If so I think we've met...PM me if you remember, and are serious about going back there.

Jesus Christ! They are not even that far in! And approach isn't that bad at all! None of the people here did any routes on them? REALLY?

I am the sort of nutbag that would hike that far in. Now if I could only climb 5.11....
