cosmetically altered?
facial features like nose...
and body parts like breasts...
do you find it to be a major turn off?
would you date a woman who has had plastic surgery?
why? or, why not?

Its like saying what do you think about people who drive Humvees. Its not necessarily indicative of the personality, but I would say you could generally one group would think be this sort of way. Someone that would pay for plastic surgery GENERALLY would be concieved as vain or self centered (kind of like a climber), but there of course can be more to it than that. Friend of my family got a breast enhancement a few years after her husband passed away from Cancer... not sure what makes her tick, or what variation of the personality lead to that, but I would not call her vain, not in a million years.
Another issue is some people aren't meant to be enhanced. Sometimes your ethnicity means you look BETTER with a little big larger nose, or smaller breasts, or flatter behind. Its a little unnatural looking sometimes when someone stuffs themselves full of plastic.
Another issue is that big boobs rock, so you have that as well.

I agree with GDavis, and it depends on what you start with.
And end up with!

In gereral I find it to be a turn off.
Confidence is way sexier than a perfect body.
That being said, there are times when I find it acceptable.

For me, it depends. Attractiveness, for me, is almost entirely context-specific and based as much on intangibles as on physical appearance.
I'm generally not a fan of pornstar-style massively enlarged breasts but could probably find a woman with 'em attractive if she had enough appealing qualities.
Take my words with a grain of salt since I'm semi-heavily tattooed and pierced in strange places so I guess I qualify as altered too.

Dialog with a guy last year who was going through an ugly divorce...
him: "I spent a couple grand on her chest."
me: "so was it worth it?"
him: "yeah, if you like to lay on a leather couch..."
LOL!

if a person feels better with certain body parts altered,
then, hopefully they'll feel better about the themselves thus being more social and less inhibited,
thus making the world a better place, I guess.

i think it's a social disease.
for many, body identity has
surpassed reality so they create
the "fantastic me".
a shallow move at best,
and insecurity at its worst.

the other day while waiting for someone i was flipping through a magazine and read an article about a guy who would immediately dump a girl if she'd had work done.
i personally like myself the way i am. my right ear is slightly deformed but i don't care, i would never have "corrective" surgery on it.
i would definetly dump immediately any guy who suggested a boob job or any other kind of work.
