Dear climbers,
I am dutch and I love to climb. At this moment I am a student of outdoor management. This is a study were you get teached to become an outdoorinstructor. Learning to give instructions in climbing, hiking and kayaking.
Now I am looking for a professional company were I can get practical experience in internship. See how climbing-courses are given in other countries; looking at safety, building op the program and other..
What I want wich is in the climbing courses is; basic-climbingtechnics, rope systems, anchor systems. Climb and work in multible ropes.
Surfing on this site and seeing the forum, I thought; maybe someone who's reading the forum can help me.
Hoop to hear from you if you have any suggestions or tips

Greetings Caloe,
half dutch myself (Amsterdam), and an occasionally working AMGA certified guide.
My guess is your opportunities would be far better in europe. This country's patchwork quilt of regulations stifles professional guiding and the proliferation of self-proclaimed experts undermines the earning potential of one who is truly qualified.

I know Adam Fox with Fox Mountain Guides was advertising for an intern-type position. You can find a job listing by surfing on www.outdoored.com.
Cheers,
