so last night i had this dream... that ellen degeneres was filming her show on the east buttress at LL, only in my dream it looked like the pics of courtwright dome and was in my backyard, and there were people hiking everywhere and helicopters flying around and i was like, "oh no! too many people, this is bad for the environment!!!" and i was distressed bcuz there was nothing i could do about it, but then ellen got on the rock and started cracking funny jokes thru a giant microphone. in my dream i was overjoyed that everybody was climbing bcuz everybody was just laughing and climbing and having fun.
then, i dreamed that i was in my room, in sunlight, reading an article about it in the paper. it opened with a quote from ANASTASIA, talking about climbing, because she was the leader of some huge climber organization.
then i turned the page of the paper, and there was an ad for a clinic with ED HARTOUNI! "learn how to climb in small groups safely and with good communication, WITHOUT walky-talkies" the clinic was 85$ and at the place where JERRY DODRILL's climbing club has their slideshows. and in my dream, i thought, "o i want to go, but i don't want to drive to the yay area and deal w/the congestion and all those people, maybe i'll meet them in yosemite and they could teach me there".
ok i have to go study now but i thought it would be funny to share.

Thank you! I hardly ever remember my dreams, so it's nice of you to share.
I had dinner with Ed last night - he's in Vancouver to do cyclotron things. So I'm pretty sure that his "learn how to climb in small groups safely and with good communication, WITHOUT walky-talkies" will actually focus on off widths.

Pimpin' Quarks in gas town, no wonder he wasn't at wide wednesday (where there actually ARE walkie talkies) last night.
Interesting dream...
I had one about a year ago that I can't get out of my head. It was a brief vignette of a Farzette-esque, Gollum-like person pulling one the muscles off his own back. A voice in the background said "Their muscles, that they had spent decades developing, now peel off their bodies like ropes."
Pretty sure that was after riley gave me some Ambien™ to help me relax, though I had not met him at the time.
