I just talked to JDF.
He has 6 fires burning within 6 miles of him.
Ash is raining down.
His eyes are watering and his lungs hurt.
He may soon have to evacuate.

Whatever you do, DO NOT EVACUATE!
The ones who evacuate aren't allowed to go home until several days after the fire is put out, yet looters are allowed to roam the neighborhood.

It is very bad here in San Diego County. This could be worse than the Cedar Fire 3 years ago.
As a teacher in SDUSD, they should have cancelled school today. My wife also is a teacher in the Grossmont district and they cancelled hours before school even started, my children's school district closed, but nooooo not San Diego City Schools. They should have. Apparently we are very brave and we have lungs of steel unlike everyone else.
Our new Superintendant that is now leaving our school district, can't seem to make the command decision to do so. They are even talking about this on the news. Schools all around us are closed but we are still in class. Cough, cough, cough . . .
eeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
(They have got my righteous wrath beginning to boil . . . uh-oh! He is going to blow!)
Damn numb-nuts for administrators. I would have cancelled school hours before it began, and everyone would have been better off. No point in making the situation worse.
