managed to replace a whopping 1 bolt. old quarter incher compression with Leeper hanger.
last time I used these bad boys, they were on Pinnacles rock, so the sound isn't the same.
they ring even better than a well driven pin.

I agree, I hadn't heard that sound in a long time, and I always loved it as the ring's pitch increased on each hammer blow... the sound of a well driven anchor...
So now it sounds even better because it means that routes are being maintained, sometimes even brought back from undeserved obscurity. An even sweeter sound!
