No big deal.
Yesterday's 1200 acre fire has grown to 8000 acres. Ton of smoke this morning.
The park has been temporarily closed to "climbing, hiking and rappelling".
(It was well over a hundred degrees today. WTF would be climbing?)

Maybe less funny to Mike et al when they topped out on the T-Bird and all that was left of the giant tree that made up what had been our final belay anchor was a burned stump.

Actually too confusing Jeff.
Most of my routes in Valley of Fire have such names. (Yeah, I know. I shouldn't have started.)
Some examples:
Inflamatory Rhetoric
Spontaneous Combustion
Open Fire
Burning Ambition
Pyromaniac
Firepower
Red Hot
Aggravated Arson
