when i was in Spain I learned (not that it was hard) to cruise down limestone tallis fields like the shepards do. we would get a sturdy stick, then start running full speed straight downhill, leaning back and using the stick as a brake. It's what they have done for ages to get down quickly after the cattle. So much fun!

Simply scree running with skiis. A very pleasant activity, like glissading but on steep loose gravel instead of snow.
