When a jiva-tattva becomes specifically empowered by the Lord, he is called saktyavesa avatara.

Buddha and Jesus Christ were in this group of saktyavesa avatara.

But they were not in conditioned state when they appeared, they came to teach here.

They are eternally liberated souls

well, jesus definetly wasn't white like all the images of him that are plastered all over churches in this country. it drives me flippin' nuts over BANANAS. i have the feeling that what he stood for has gotten lost in the modern translation.

You ask to many questions, troll to much and don't research.

You can't understand the real truth of this stuff unless you first purify your heart and soul.

You just like to argue.

Leave the material world behind for 20 years and really search.

Then come back here.

You'll never do it though, as you just want to play and look at it as a curiosity.

If you are really serious then don't bother replying to my post, just do it.

last night me and some buds were hanging out and talking and in between the sh*t talking we got to talkin' bout dat jeezuz. somebody said that in one of the books of the bible that didn't make it into king james, there's a story about jesus killing somebody before he decided to be a good guy.

that's all i got - late night gossip and no credible source. sorry bud, can't remember which book he said it was, because i was distracted by the person next to me since we were fighting over a chair whilst slandering eachother.

poor wes... "i want an intelligent convo, dammit!"

Have you ever heard of the Urantia Book? Now there is something to sink your teeth into. It has a very interesting perspective on the man called Jesus.I still don't know what to make of it all.

Let's back up a bit.

Virgin birth? I think not.

A boy raised by a weak father and an adulterous mother, and she has the audacity to claim that God did it.

A boy constantly reminded that he is the son of God and that guy Joseph is just a cuckolded fool. At a very early age he knows he is better than his father; better than everyone.

But wouldn't he have his doubts? He sees how his mother really is. He sees the pigshit life they lead. Where are the miracles? When does the greatness come? Is this why he wanders? Does he start to doubt? Does he take on a role that he knows is false? Perhaps he has his doubts and decides to force the issue; a kind of suicide by centurion.

Does Jesus really believe his own hype?

I'm sure such a study exists, but since all there is is from early christian writings the analysis is based on the extent of those writings.

While many of these appear in the Bible, there are significant texts that were not included. One person that I know who has looked at these texts critically is Elaine Pagels. She has written a number of books, but the three you might be interested in are (in order of interest):

Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas ISBN 0-375-50156-2
The Gnostic Paul: Gnostic Exegesis of the Pauline Letters ISBN 0-8006-0403-2
The Gnostic Gospels ISBN 0-679-72453-2
