I just got back from what i feel, was a great event. I spent 4 days there, and had a real good time. Hats off to Mountain Gear, The North Face, and everyone else that was involved with this event. The weather was good, a little warm, but still climable. The food was good and plentiful, the sponsors gave out a ton of free gear, and the people were real nice. I received some crack climbing instruction from Peter Croft and aid climbing tips from Jim Bridwell. I also enjoyed the company of Alison Osius, Greg Barnes, Dale Bard, Brian "Kid Rock" McCray, and Ammon McNeeley. If you were not able to make it, make sure that you sign up for next year. I spent some time talking with the people from The Access Fund, and The ASCA. They appear to be doing some good things for climbing. I joined both organizations. If you have some extra cash, I would definitely suggest you join.

Hehe...Now that I think about it, Flyin Brian does resemble Kid Rock.

It was a fun weekend. Like the timing too, it was a nice pre-valley reunion. Saw a lot of people I hadn't seen since last summer/fall but will soon be seeing again in the valley this spring.

Oh, and the free Fat Tire ale flowing all night? Sheer GENIUS!!! That alone will get me there year after year to come.

Hey JT-
Yup- Red Rocks Rendezvous was awesome. The afternoon aid class was cool too- some of the event organizers took pictures- did you see them on screen when the band was playing? I wonder how we can get ahold of copies? Can't wait to get back to RR- Katie and I are headed back there in 3 weeks.

The party Saturday night was a lot of fun but one thing is for sure…

Minerals + unlimited free beer - food = evil combination

I could probably come up with an excuse to be there.
