EVERYONE one (or in this case, 'situation salute' should respectively
be 'allowed' a--
'one last meal'...
please, share-- what will YOU SERVE?
we have ABOUT 12-13 days, until the EVENING OF MAY 31 (BEFORE MIDNIGHT)
*AS-- IT WILL BE 'PUMPING TURNING' then, :(
i am thinking on what i will do to salute this 'great ship' that
will 'then' sink in the vast ocean of what will be:
the past...
i will SURELY do a nice place setting... candles, too... :)
use the samavar-- as i got a nice supertopo post, share, about it...
PERHAPS:
YOU MAY WANT TO-- make a recipe from supertopo that someone shared?
or-- fish, to honor nature's
or-- home made bread, that many had talked about once, as
the tibet? etc, bread...
or-- your favorite 'last rights' meal...
or-- your home in-house specialty...
or-- a favorite CLIMBER meal, from on the rocks? (and a drink, ON the rocks, as well...
use your imagination...
go by your heart...
or, what you LIKED to eat in the 'wee' hours, that you posted here...
or-- perhaps a breakfast meal, that you ATE when you logged-on, in the morning...
or-- meal by moonlight...
or-- picnic...
or... ?
HOPE we can all post the pics...
a last FLING here, before june first...
but-- remember the midnight pumpkin (cinderella hour) ...

oh my... wow, ... what a sweet thing...
you know-- i think i will make pie, to go with my meal, in
honor of:
your humble pie...
as, none of us, would be 'exactly' the same in lives,
if we had NOT met the ol' supertopo...
it IS very humbling...
PERFECT JOHN! ...
*of course, ALL THESE MEALS, WILL BE PERFECT, AND
WORTHY of gold metal...
these were just some realy 'choice' first-to-the-starting-gate' posts...
each meal, from the heart will be a memory, for our homes...
yep-- some of the folks will see you doing this and think and remember
and--
perhaps think you/we are all a tad goofy... ;)

say, i had never heard of that... i looked it up...
as in, chagrin falls, OH?
you gave me an idea, to, add to the list:
*folks may want to serve a LAST meal, from their country, if
they are logging on, from overseas...
well--
say, got to go work in the yard...
say, hope to see the SEND OFF grow, for some great last meals, later...

i'll be serving carrot cake and or watermelon may 31st as that is my birthday. come by the food lockers at el cap for a piece. i'll be 59. also, looking for boating partners on the lower merced for june 1st once the hangover goes away..probably run swinging bridge to briceburg, with a surf season at gage hole around 420. cheers, steve schneider

hope some good folks show up and help you celebrate...
say, at least our 'supertopo' is 'going down in style' ...
the way it should-- with climbers interacting, and just:
going on, with daily life, while LEAVING a bit of themselves,
in SPIRIT here...

these days!...
thank you very very kindly...
i also have that card to send you-- was just taking
my time, to make SURE i said all i wanted to,
in an ARTIST way, :)
and, with the best friendship, possible to you and your home!

i think so far, i am going to SERVE--
A RICH, BUT SIMPLE little meal, and
a family tradition dessert from my mom's PAST...
and--FRUIT AND NUTS-- that are the kind that one enjoys
along the trail:
when having a 'great outdoors' HIKE or CLIMB...
THAT WAY-- I'VE 'got a little bit of something'
for everyone... :)

Definitely a stir-fry, with lots of red and green and yellow peppers, including hot ones. My birthday is May 31, and I will be 65 this year, so... passages, I suppose, is all I have to say, other than that I WILL miss Supertopo.

even in our sadness, here, we find the sparks-of-joy...
it is 'fellowship' ...
sounds, good... say, i have a wok, and, a cast iron skillet...
maybe my 'rich little' meal, i should cook in that...
i am still 'planning' ...

the samavar, for SURE, with family tradition dessert...
so far!
another sad note:
it was so very nice to see all the birthday-fun, when everyone
(little by little over the years) got the birthdays KNOWN...
thank you for sharing!
(out to the yard, again... my BUSY season) :)
