He was one hullava a guy. As little as I knew him, I feel his loss more than I can explain. His presence was always uplifting.

Could the guy on the right be Jim Pettigrew?
Sorry, I'm old and my memory stinks, but there were many climbers hanging out in Camp 4, where I snapped this photograph, and there were many where I only had a casual relationship with. It was the year Henry Barber soloed the Steck/Salathe. He's on the left.
I'm sure some of you here can recognize the climber on the right.
