Can someone remind me, I no longer remember.
Did Sharma ever red-point Dura Dura? (Or for that matter, Ondra?) Or in sport climbing is pink-pointing actually called red-pointing? I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this one.
I know these definitions are pretty clear in trad, at least they used to be, I think?, but I wonder about sport climbing. Thanks.

Oh, is it time for our annual “old trad climbers classify hard sport routes” thread again already?

Those that send usually have photos, so the pink nature is self evident.
It's your sneaky FA stealing closest friends you got to hold to the fire! :)

Moose, c'mon, you know you liked it!
Regarding the post, apologies, I should've been clearer. Since posting though, I think I have it figured out. (Again? Some of us old farts forget things we once upon a time knew as the years roll on.) In trad, including single pitch "sporty" trad, the distinction between "red-pointing" and "pink-pointing" might be made more often and in some cases might have more significance. For me, for example.
I'm mostly trad, backcountry and gym. I'm not much of a sport climber. I guess in part I was just trying to keep up with the millenials and their way of talking their sport across its different versions.
Caughtinside, you might be able to relate - having sent Tombstone and One of These Days. I love both these routes. But currently I can only cleanly pink-point them. Red-pointing this year remained elusive. Maybe 2018!
If memory serves from yesterday, what motivated this first post was reading a few climber tick descriptions at MP. I cannot remember which route but "pinkpoint" and "redpoint" were mentioned.
Anyways, thanks all for the feedback. Happy climbing!!
