This will be a sad time for all of us, if we have lost Charlie Fowler and his companion Christine Boskoff. I know we're all still hoping for miracles. Yet we can be grateful for their lives, which have been utterly filled, and for our blessings. I, for one, have experienced a rich outpouring of support and friendship over this last couple months. It seems every time I find myself drifting away from the climbing world in general, something pulls me back or tells me people aren't quite ready to forget about me. That is humbling. I feel as though I have an entire new cadre of friends, as well, with whom I hope to stay in contact. I wish you all the best over the holidays and new year. I wish you the best blessings, and those of safety, love, and the realization of dreams. The healing from my surgery has been a bit on the slow side, what with a few complications, yet my friends help me to keep my spirits up better than I otherwise would. Time is flying by us all very fast, and we must fill our days with experience as beautiful and deep and powerful as we can. Climbing, certainly, helps us to do that, as do the acquaintances that seem to come to us like some special manna from heaven.

Here is wishing you (Pat) and everyone else here at SuperTopo best wishes for the holidays and the new year. For many, 2006 has had more than its share of trials and tribulations. The bond between climbers, friends and family and the care we can give to each other is so important.

Thanx Pat,
though I don't know you and very few others here, I am very glad I became a climber. People like yourself have inspired me. The best we can hope for is to find a life of peace and satisfaction. Interestingly, the people we surround ourselves with play an important role in both those areas.
Shootin' the love right back at ya, and to all the climbers I have known, and hope to know....
“May you have the hindsight to know where you've been,
The foresight to know where you are going,
And the insight to know when you have gone too far”
