Time for my annual public service announcement.
If you've been thinking about a winter rock climbing trip, consider Cayman Brac.
It's warm, uncrowded, English-speaking (well, Island-British anyway), has excellent and unique climbing, and you can get there in a day from most places in North America.
It has long (>100') routes right over the sea that require rappel access and provide true adventure climbing.
There's also lots of "normal" sport climbing on clean pocketed limestone with lots of flowstone features.
Rest days can be spent snorkeling, caving, beach combing, or just hanging out.

I'm interested! My wife & I are taking the week after Christmas off, but have not decided where to go. I love snorkeling too!
Any beta on flights and hotels? We arent rich.
Never mind, flights from Vegas to Cayman Brac: $1560

Skitch,
If you looked up the fares yourself, you most likely got an inflated price. I just priced flights from Denver, and got about $800, and there's shitloads more flights through Vegas, so I expect your fare should be equal or lower.
Check out www.climbcaymanbrac.com for more information, or email me and I'll give you the name of a good travel agent, and if I'm wrong about the fare, let me know.

EdwardT, I have to conclude that those speed bumps were put in to cut down on the number
of people who missed the ensuing curve while entranced, right?

I have to admit I did look at the air fares and lodging options.
But think I would get cabin fever on an island with warm humid temps.
still, such a gorgeous location and opportunity...
