I hope you are "back" in the saddle soon.

You need crackers and rest
To feel better or best

When lying there all sore and glum
Remember, Dwain, that I'm you're chum.

And I don't mean shark-bait.
Please keep your tongues civil, Tacos.
CC is in a great big bad place with more "back issues."

Or not. Look who I'm addressing, after all! :0)

Hang tough and be patient dude.
I have a good idea of what crippling spine pain feels like and what it can do to a guy. My sympathies and best wishes.

Like the other poster said...
be patient...
and don't worry too much...

What Locker (and the other poster) said. Do what you have to do on the medical front, and don't let yourself get too down.

I know, easy to say, but I'm not the only one on ST who has been crippled to the point of being unable to work or play, and wondering if I'll ever walk again. And if there's one thing I learned from the experience it was to take things one day at a time. Do whatever I could, and work at not letting myself fall into the jaws of the black dogs.

Good luck.

I have a pretty severe disc herniation that causes stenosis. I lost the ability to lift my foot off the floor for about a year.

back injuries are so painful while being deceivingly hidden

the one thing you should avoid at all costs though is surgery

their is literally a medical term called FBS- or failed back syndrome ...to describe the failures of back surgeries

I think I reinjured it about 3 months ago moving a huge beer keg away from
some windows I was washing at a restaurant, and last thursday the home I was doing was literally the straw that broke the camels back.

Yeah, we are not the kids we used to be. As you say it is a matter of straws; they get heavier over time. Take your time to heal up.

Bummer about the back pain.

If it's an option, see if they'll give you a prednisone dose pack while you're waiting for them to figure out what to do next. It probably wouldn't complicate things and it may help.

All the best.

I'm no doctor, but aren't there issues with prednisone and heart function?
