My ceiling is ~7ft 10in. Do you think this is too low to set up a wall? thinking of doing a 20-30 degree wall, or possibly two walls in a corner.

Given 7'10" at 20 degrees your wall will be 8'4", at 30 degrees it will be be 9'. Seems fine if you're into sit starts and don't go too crazy for giant dynos.
How wide are you imagining.?

How wide can you go? Make a soffit or small roof with rails or lips for traversing.

I could probably go 16 feet wide total (8ft x2 walls + a corner).
Anyone have experience with this? Seems like it might be too short, as I'm 6'2"

Seems fine if you're into sit starts and don't go too crazy for giant dynos. Agreed - thinner holds and sequence reliant problems (if you have the patience).

I am also thinking about putting a wall on the outside of my house. Any thoughts? Liability? attractive nuisance? Not holding up?

go wider and use the ceiling, a good friend made a "cave" with wonderful results. i had a wall ten feet high and 70 feet wide, the most interesting moves were all completely lateral and could be done on 8' no problem, and yes, a corner is great.. any construct is better than what you have now!
