True story;
Friend of a friend was a plumbing contractor who retired and sold his plumbing business without taking the company name off one of his trucks. Dumb move. The plumbers who bought his business went bankrupt soon after. One of the company trucks still had the original company name on it, 'Joe Gilhooley's Plumbing' or some such. It was sold at auction by an overseas buyer who shipped everything overseas to be sold in the Middle East. So about a year after this plumbing contractor retires he sees his truck on the national news, filled ISIS fighters armed with machine guns rolling through the Iraqi desert, with his name still on the truck.
Anonymous is good.

I don't know the 'plumber' personally. Just a six degrees of seperation thing. Or maybe only a two degrees thing. It came up last week when I was talking to a friend who owns a small company. I was contracting with him to trim some trees on his property when were talking about employees and the occasional problems that come up.
We were talking about what might happen when employees get into trouble while driving company equipment or wearing uniforms with the company name on it and how it could be potentially bad for business. That's when he brought up being aquainted with that plumber and told me the story behind it. I've only known him a couple years and I guess he's also more of an acquaintance than a good friend...He could have been bullshitting me for all I know. Hope his check clears, ha ha!
