I feel fat. I look fat. Well... I am. And outta shape.
Soo.... last few times around this challenged motivated (obviously didn't stick).
$10 a pound. Goal is ten lbs. Don't make it - cough up for each pound.
We just have to start/end before SushiFest because... well... it's SushiFest.

I'm beyond fat and out of shape. Too much beer and too may pretzels. I'm in. But who gets the money when I fail?

Also, this means I need to weigh in, right? which means I need to actually acknowledge how slobby I am? On second thought.....

I'd be into this for a training challenge. I don't need to drop pounds so much as I need to be consistently active.

Hey HDDJ, we should find some regular schedule to meet up and get some exercise. We're only 45 minutes apart. I'm getting hitched this summer and want to look less, um, paunchy for it.

well in the past the whole point was to aim at losing 10 lbs. Not sure how else to work it otherwise.
And I need both. Or new genes and jeans.
But yeah, the motivation part... whatever works, right?

OK we start Sunday March 6th - gives us two nights to indulge and blimp up.
Weigh out is no later than 23:59 April 5th.
If you lose 10 pounds or more you split the pile of cash (if there is any) with the other winners/losers.
Otherwise you cough up $10 per pound that you don't lose up to the 10 pound target.
There's no penalty for blimping up even bigger you just cough up a Benjamin and hide in your hole.
I've got a good uphill battle. Last times around I also had muscle mass so it was straight blubber loss. This time I'm sure I'll add five pounds in muscle which means 15 pounds of whale insulation to lose.

Fish I think won all of them. I won in the first one just barely.
Oh and thanks for that first link Ed.
The side bets! That made it even more fun.

Yeah, Dad. Thanks. I hear this often. And you wonder why I cut myself.
Lynne mentioned in one of those threads that we should share how we are doing this. So the above info from Locker/Dad is excellent.
I'm at about 175lbs - heaviest I've ever been. So with a target of 165lbs It'll still men I'm 6 lbs over where I started the very first challenge 159->149. But I also use to, um, climb. back. then. when?

Maybe supertopo peer pressure will help? I will think about it, would be great to cut some weight for performance on rock.
The training manual suggests cutting weight in power phase. I should start it now. Link power and weight loss, train hard March, send the gnar in April...will it be acceptable to bitch about overeating in this thread?
I am about 173 lbs or so at 6'2 (will check tonight). My best performances on rock were when I dropped weight to just under 165 (FFA the Emperor). BUT I feel like I gained strength since than, but also added pounds. In the fall I sent a redpointed a few cool 5.12- climbs and was very close to sending a solid 12 (which was soft IMO). It is not grade chasing, but grades let me know if I am improving or what. If I lose the pounds, I may do my best (maybe will be able to keep up with some of my stronger friends).

After a 6 month Yosemite/work season I returned to the gym. I weighed in at 199 pounds in mid November, and weighed in at 184 pounds yesterday. Gained 5 pounds or so of muscle and got a little toned at the gym, but lost 20 pounds or so at the dinner table. The gym was easy compared to the dinner table, and the gym kicks my ass.
