That I did, as political satire- This is a social examination thread about injustice.

The 1% (big time minority) are being burdened with gobs of our money and it pains me when a corrupt system turns it's back on their attempts to buy influence and rig the system.

BTW-Are you the guy that monitors threads for future reference?

Mexico should keep them, his mother is the biggest enabler of all time. His dad cooperated with authorities in tracking them down. What a sad commentary on justice.

Really? At worst he'll be stuck in some plush rehab and Mom at Betty Ford.

I don't think so.

The pressure is now on the judge.
The mom should do as much time too.

Nah Susan, I think he'll get some time, and his mom too. They sent Federal Marshals after him, and the local community is up in arms about this.

Of course his family may just pay a judge a bunch of cartel money again...

His dad cooperated with authorities in tracking them down

That might have been because the DA called "BS" on his implausible denial of being unaware of any such knowledge.

"Whoopsy! I misplaced my wife and son! Where'd they go?"

Today, the DA is saying she wants the case to be handled in adult court. But, the plea bargain was in juvenile court, which can't imprison him past his 19th birthday (next April). But, the parole violation occurred when he was an adult, so the whole thing quickly turns a shade of medium grey. At issue is the doctrine of Double Jeopardy. The DA and the courts may not have any authority, past giving him 120 days in a youth facility.

My guess is that the Affluenza Lieyers set this one up, beautifully, and Golden Boy will slither out from under the heavy boot of justice.

He's WHITE, and he's RICH, and he lives in TEXAS.

I hope Texas takes probation violations as seriously as California.

"SAN BERNARDINO - San Manuel tribal member Stacy Barajas Nunez was sentenced to 17 years in state prison Friday after a Superior Court judge ruled that she had violated her probation in her attempted murder and drug case."

"Nunez had failed to follow directions from the Probation Department about her electronic monitoring, did not have her probation terms on her body when she was stopped by law enforcement, and had associated with a known felon."

"Nunez reached a plea bargain with prosecutors and got a year of electronic monitoring and five years of supervised probation for attempted murder, transportation of drugs and possession of drugs in jail."

http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/article/ZZ/20090717/NEWS/907179883

She was given the sweetheart rich person's deal of a lifetime: Probation for attempted murder. But like Affluenza Boy, she didn't recognize a good deal when she had one.

The L.A. Times thinks Affluenza Boy is only on the hook for 120 days maximum - but Mom may get ten years.

I hope The Times is wrong - about the son.

The Yozenite Master, again, says it best:

everyone (in America) suffers some degree affluenza .....

To some degree, we Americans are all self-entitled exceptionalists.

It is only a matter of degree.

Thanks for the Zen, Werner.
You're the best.

EDIT: I fixed my spelling boo-boo 'yosezenite' to the proper title for WVB: Yozenite Master

I tell you, these algorithms Google uses are amazing. Not having lived in the US for more than two decades I had no idea what this was about, so I put "rich, white, texas" in Google and every entry on the first page (except one) was on the mark. By the way: that's some f*#ked up sh#t.

Look who's coming home with a new hair style- who chopped those bangs? He looks half maggot, half pond turtle.

He's pretty much assured another wrist slap because the case was fuked up by the prosecution from the start.

I'd really like to have a wish- give each dad of his 4 victims, 5 minutes of some quality alone time with little, Master Couch.

sorry couchmaster, that word play was a coincidence!
