Sickos!

At least you don't have a replica of the Steck Salathe narrows to suffer in like Zander does!

Shouldn't you be wearing black leather studded climbing suits for this?

just to make it interesting, Gary put friction tape on the upper part of the crack, but it's something less than 2" wide, just enough, with good footwork, to really frustrate you!

Sick, yes, and we were thinking of calling Zander up and having an outing to his Steck-Salathe machine, Gary thinks I need to loose 35 pounds before I he'll venture up with me... we're so honed on OW that I think we can avoid the Narrows to the outside and scare the crap out of us in the process.

Perhaps we should start a support group, Peggy, Gary's wife, coined the perfect group name: Half Wit Off Widths...

Hmm, I live in Fremont, Ed. Think I could attend one of your Thursday OW sessions? I am not good at OW.

Ed and Gary,
I would love to come over and loose some skin on your wood. And the narrows move is just waiting for you poor suckers, um, I mean you nice guys. We need to make it a little narrower I found out. Actually, I need to get some of you guys over because I have got the easy stuff wired and I haven't managed to get a regular partner for the belayed stuff. ScuffyB cruised the 4 1/2 inch crack as did Bob but not me yet.
See ya,

Zander, definitely have to get up and check out your instruments of torture, which of course lead to the path of righteous offwidth mastery.

Talking to Gary earlier today on the phone he said he had wanted to see more facial "expressions" so I put this composite together... now no one will let me shoot pictures of them again!

Having seen it,
lets say
they are obsessed
it is at times
unnerving,
But they have a master to show the way
And they let old fat wierdos play
so it can't be all bad.
To answer an earlier question I'd say harder than Generator
but easier than Bad Ass Mama.
though more condinuous than either.

A great Thrash Thursday workout! Everyone got on the thing at least 3 times and gave it what they had...

It is always fun to have Jaybro for a sesh "on the boards." Gary is making noise that we have to "test" ourselves in the Valley this fall on the multiple OW classics. I don't doubt that his mastery will shine. George was worried that if he got too good we'd be using him as a rope gun soon.

Gary was also thinking about adding another 8'. Will the pain never end? I guess we could put up some plastic holds on the outside of the pannels to get up and thread the top rope.

Thanks for the pix Jay

Must post a disclaimer, regarding Zander's post. It's news to
me that I cruised the 4.5" crack at Zanderland. I think it was
more like "got spit out but showed promise" and it was really
4.25" that day as I recall.
FUN, though.

Speaking of Zoro...there's a wee bit of the wide on the pitch that takes you up to the level below the limestone band on top...
