From Mt Project, Colorado Crack gear.com is FOR SALE

"Its been a great run, but we don't have the deep pockets to keep up with the big boys. We are going out of business, but want to give someone a chance to keep the legacy going. So If someone out there in MP land would like to have their dream job our climbing gear website is for sale. Theres not going to be much inventory left, but we can offer a turnkey ecommerce site with accounts with all the good gear companys... Make me an offer!

We have a contact form on our website
Cheers,
Drew

My opinion:

If they're struggling against their competitors...it wouldn't be much of a "wet dream". Pretty much selling their e-commerce infrastructure and various open accounts with suppliers. Which any of us can obtain, but most likely with personal guarantees so very risky.

I'd love to own a virtual shop but it seems like an idea that has come and gone.

In the business world, CCG is dead. CCG is now labeled as Out of business/failed.

How much did these guys lose on their 3yo business?

Just part of the stats now.

A smart business person with a budget and a marketing plan could make this happen and skip all the preliminary work they have done for the site. Although I am not interested, as I have a career, it sounds like opportunity knocking to me.
