Do you know for certain that he was banned? I don't believe he was banned. I believe that he asked to have his account deleted. He had made remarks about possibly leaving or deleting his threads.

Craig told me he (his posts and threads) were all removed from the blog by the management.

Against his will?

In the run-up to his disappearance he was holding up a big sign saying "I'm gonna take my ball and go home."

Which doesn't mean he did ask to be erased, but it sure sounded like he was thinking about it.

The seasonal meltdowns of the feeble-minded have begun.

It's going to be a long winter for some. The Big Squirrels here all have real bushy tails.

The only use I found for those threads was a sign that it was a slow night or day on the Taco. Other than that, I found it incredibly easy to not have to participate.

And I do not expect anybody to agree with me. That would be a bonus.

"They" say a Picture a Day Keeps the Doctor Away.

But in life, to make decisions we need more than one picture.

That is precisely the point of a forum.

I don't know what that says about Craig.
I'm glad that I had a chance to meet him, for he is a gentleman.

I never bothered reading anything on the threads he participated in, though, so I can't say anything else about him, in all honesty.

Anything which I have posted here in the last several days about the removal of Dr F is all hearsay and meant to be light parody or satire at best.

I wish him well, whatever goes down in the future.

Hash, would Craig be willing to write a paragraph that lays out what really happened, which you could post here for the record?

Yup, what Chiloe said.^^^ I'd like to at least know that dude got at least one warning shot across his bow first. But I have to admit, the "I love republicans and why democrats suck" thread (or whatever that was) he started was a lot like watching several angry dogs endlessly bark at each other.

His threads should be resurrected intact by the management regardless.

Agreed. At least long enough for us to download the contributions some of us were intending to save at a future date.

A lot of well thought out commentary that was cutting edge was discussed on the religion vs. science thread. It seemed like the New York Times often published similar material a week or so after we had discussed it. A lot of good science information was on there too.

I'm afraid that the elimination of Craig's threads for whatever reason, will make a lot of people reluctant to contribute well thought out commentary here anymore, which surely will lead to fewer hits for the advertisers who support the site.

Hope he's ok there was always an unhinged character to his posts, but that's what made them an excellent foil.

Nukeing them was a dick move though, and Jan's assessment is correct.
