What a great and ancient tale. It's 1500 plus years old. Who knows where the beginning was.
With so many of our great "fairy tales" drawing bits from it.
Wagner, Tolkien, (Arthur)Sword And The Stone, (Thorn prick)Sleeping Beauty, (Magic apple)Snow White and more?
Discuss.

BTW, I'm no expert, just a fan of a great story.
I have known, but "not known" of this saga for decades. To find out about this now, and what I've been missing, makes me feel like a n00b and that my teachers and guides missed something.
Apparently y'all need to do a little learning too?

Aw shite, Bruce I love that stuff. I'm just on here later than you. I imagine the truth that these myths evolve from probably go back farther than we think.

Aren't those Nordic sagas all about the same?
Kind of like all climbs are the same, eh?
