Yes. All of the evidence I have seen agaisnt it has been proven fake. Plus I have never heard of any one coming forward claiming they were in on it. To fake that would take alot of people, and people like to talk about stuff that makes them look cool. Way to many people to have to keep a secret.

Yup. My dad worked on some of the rockets NASA used. Saw one fired once.

Saw landing on TV.

I agree.

Can you (sketchy) be more specific about the evidence that has been proven fake?

Thanks

The one I can think of off hand was a guy who claimed their is a "C" stamped on one of the moon rocks. He said this was from a cast, and it was platic. The c was actualy a small hair, from when the photo was first copied and did not apear on the original picture. Others claim that the flag is waving due to wind, bt the guy is clearly moving the pole. Its been a while since I read about this, but if you can come up with other things that make you suspect it is a fake lets here em.

That all I can remember off hand. If anyone else can come up evidice saying it is fake, I would love to hear it. Penn and Teller did an episode of bullshit about this once. They even went to a mueseum that claims to have proof it was faked. None of the proof that the owner presented held up to scrutiny.

they barely kept the JFK assasination quiet. Faking a moon landing would have involved many more people than that.

For the final say on this, the moon landing is NOT fake.

I watched 'em walk around up there, stirring up dust, through my binoculars.

the one I heard:

If he is the first man on the moon, who the fvck is filming?

not that I believe it's a hoax...but it's an interesting question....

actually I had a russian friend who was totally convinced.

That was one of the things she said...along with everything else said above and more.

She was taught this in her school days in Russia, pretty interesting, and really f*#king funny.

Not only do I believe man walked on the moon... at times I suspect that the reason the Bush Buddies seem unconcerned about our environment and are opperating what may prove to be a money diversion tactic on a scale neverbefore seen, with their War on Terror, is because they (and rel.right friends who $upport him) have got NASA working on a 21st Century ark to carry the chosen ones to a distant living space, while the rest of us wankers boil in the hell on earth they believe we deserve....

Yesss...it is true.....I sometimes have unfounded moments of paranoia and delusional thinking.... But it COULD happen!(I mean that they are hoping to be the chosen ones, and are spending tax $$ on the plan).

I wish they would do everyone a favor and get on the ark now. I'd chip in a few extra bucks for that.

I was driving the route down from SLC, late at night, on a Canyonlands trip (Washer Woman was cool).
FM surfing I stumbled on a radio talk show hosted by Micky Dolenz from The Monkees.
Apparently, his dad was some sort of engineer on the moon program. Micky covered all the challenges,
the great story of the astronaut punching the heckling disbeliever, took calls, & etc.

He finally let an invited conspiracy nut rant for a while before he brought his dad on to shoot
holes in the nutjob.

Lots of fun, plus it kept me awake.
Whats not to believe. It’s The Phuking Monkees.
I’m a belivier.

Its not a matter of proof or disproof. Its a matter of gossip. There were far too many extremely smart people involved for it to have been faked. Americans talk. We yap. A lot. If that had been faked, don't you think some NASA engineer would have written the uber-bestseller about it by now? There were zillions of people involved in the project, so not only would you need to fool the public (easy to do with the simple faked video) but then all the people in the control room and associated techs. So maybe they were all in on it, right? No way, one of them would have screwed up, told a spouse, written a book or leaked it.

Tom, as Neil Armstrong got out of the lander he pulled on a rign which deplyed the camera automatically, which is why the shot is poorly framed and partially obscured by parts of the landing gear.

From a technological point of view the most demanding procedure is getting the Saturn 5 into orbit.

This was witnessed by tens of thousands.

After that a simple engine burn will drop one into the moons gravity well.

Another burn puts you into orbit.

Then another tricky part is the landing.
But with 1/6 the gravity it is cake.

I have some really cool PDF's on the control systems and IMU of the CM and LM if anyone is interested.
