It was looking grim but this last storm helped a bit I'm guessing? What's it looking like?
Stuck in LA and would like to maybe do Onion Valley to Sawmill in a month or so.

Just came home last night from the Sierra. Warm warm warm, wet snow. Pray for colder air and conjure a snow dance. Unless we get more, what little we have will be long gone one month from now.

Bad.. but at least there is some snow right now. Gonna be a rocky short spring season unless something changes drastically.

Or you might say a long spring season if you count that it sorta started 2 weeks ago.

I've been riding resorts 5 days a week, wanting to be in the backcountry but it's just been bad. :( minus after a few storms it was fun, but it's been so warm lately. It's snowing right now. Dust on crust woohoo

At the end of the month it's looking like there is a chance for colder storms to move in....we'll see.

the eastside isn't doing so well but the bc around tahoe has been good lately. a few wet storms in the last week but that doesn't matter since you'll most likely be looking for corn conditions in a month anyway. the pack isn't deep but upper elevations will still have good coverage in a month regardless of the naysayers.

I think Tahoe has been getting a bit more snow than the eastside so cragman's prediction is pretty accurate..?

This is a week ago on the west side of Tahoe. As you can see, no snow. That said, it's super warm right now and the next week, so in a month, tough to say... if you are OK with some hiking and don't have high expectations you will have a blast (I find that not having high expectations is generally the key to happiness no matter the pursuit) ;)
