so, this is a long shot, but maybe someone can help...
the guy who taught me how everything about climbing, mentioned that he once saw a movie that he really liked (climbing movie) that started with a guy doing a very hard route and the sound of a heart beating, faster and faster, then the conversation drifted away to something completely unrelated, but, I wanted to surprise him, and get him that movie for his (very extense) climbing movies collection, that is missing this one.

can anyone give me a hand with this? thanks a bunch!

There was an early IMAX film that started out that way. Footage of someone on the roof route that is at the mouth of Black Velvet Canyon Red Rocks.

Sounds like Hard Grit to me too. at 2:25, you can see some clips of the opening shin-clanging route/fall in the movie - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWTShh-pIkM

To The Limit is the Imax movie - http://www.macgillivrayfreemanfilms.com/site/our-films/film-library/to-the-limit.html , but I don't remember the soudntrack.
