enough bolts to have them every 5 feet and a hammer and chisel to make sure the hand and foot holds are big and soft.

gorgeous ice!
toproping the sh#t out of some loose sandstone can produce an easy tree/free climb
the best part is that every ascent changes the character of the route at this point. sometimes feet get bigger when a softball chunk leaves a ledge, but many lovely and needed knuckle-blasting knoblets and black, burned potato chip patinas part from the wall, too.
