happened to see Cliffhanger a few weekends ago, a feature shown in ablegabel's van we howled when the opening credits rolled by...

Premise by John Long

hopefully Largo received a hefty fee for it (it apparently grossed $250M or so).

Why only a premise?

Any other films like it by Largo or any of our extended tribe?

Yes, Largo has an expansive imagination and high degree of skill in conveying the fruits of that imagination.
I'm sure there are many others on this tribe with talents-you for example are very good at chronicling such things-do you have the time and desire for such an activity or is this to be a disjointed and messy product of "the collective"?

When I read the words "Premise By" I instantly knew the context... have noted that part of the credits myself years ago.

I wonder if the original premise had mary jane rather than cash. There is a precedent for such a swaparoo.

I remember an old Cheech and Chong movie where they were running around with big duffle bags full of weed. At some point I saw a TV edited version of the movie (which you might think would totally gut the movie and take out all the good parts- which you'd be right about, but I digress). In the TV edit version, duffels of weed became duffels of diamonds.

Who came up with the impaled-on-the-icicle scene? Genius!
