Except there's one problem: they actually haven't found any WMDs to name.

Gee Jody, that is at least the second person that you have implied doesn't work for a living. You certainly did with me.
Kind of funny that they are people you don't usually agree with.
Personally I think that you have a deep-rooted resentment against present and former dirtbags because they had the fun of climbing and living a fairly carefree lifestyle (I did for a while at least) while you toil away on the California roads.
It just so happens to be, or at least appears, that many of these dirtbags don’t hold the same ideologies as you.
You are propagating this ‘Bridge named after XXXX’ so is it suprising that somebody would start a similar thread making fun of your champions and heroes, such as Dubya and Cheney. And now one appears and boo hoo, you are crying in your milk.
You need to get out climbing more, and taking more of those great photographs you have a knack for.
EDIT
As for me, summer returned to Ireland several days ago and is still here, at least until tomorrow, then the forecast doesn't look great. Fortunately the rock in Dalkey Quarry dries pretty fast, so perhaps at the weekend.
I am off climbing shortly, something I need to do more of as well, Jody. Yesterday evening (after the office, a 45-minute bicycle ride to the crags) I went climbing and did my first 5.9/5.9+ (Superarete, HVS 5a) in a long time (since last summer). I was gripped (it felt like 5.11) and hardly made it through the crux near the top as I was knackered (I’m not exactly in great shape, give me time).
Perhaps we both should quit our jobs and become dirtbags.

Good points Patrick. It's funny because I didn't piss on his Ted Kennedy thread. I even paid him a compliment and thought it was pretty funny.
Oh well.

No Jody, I'm having fun with you too. It's all in good jest, though I imagine anyone of us on this forum can get too serious once in a while. Cheers, looking forward to the pix, now I'm off to Dalkey for a couple of hours of climbing until the light fades, I really am.
I'll check back tomorrow.
See ya'all someday.
Cheers
Patrick
