Anyone visiting should come to Break It Down camp at 4:20 and outer ring for drinks and some of the only good music on the playa. Reggae with Spliff Skankin workin the mike.
Ya I know Burning Man ain't what it used to be (in the minds of some) but neither is Yosemite and that doesn't mean I will boycott either one.

Burning Man hasn't seen it's last good days, that's for sure.

Zozobra has been going for 88 years now?

Some folks thought the Grateful Dead were lame after 69.

Some young dudes are just hitting their stride and kicking our ass at the Yosemite National Zoo, even as we speak.

Bullwinkle will get on here and slam "old guys" soon, cuz he's in a time machine!!

I haven't been to BRC since '08, I moved east shortly thereafter. That place holds a special spot in my heart. In my camp, 100 strong, mostly climbers and raft guides, my job was to assemble the art car and the shower. It took a couple of days, and I usually did the early arrival thing, going in on Friday rather than Monday. Add a couple of days after exodus to clean up, and I was there for two weeks most years.

I'll always love BRC, I hope those of you who are going have a freaking blast! I did.

Here's the dragonfly;

We threw some amazing parties in that rig. It was fraught with electrical problems, but we made it happen. I remember walking to camp from out near the trash fence to get five gallons of gas for the generator. That was a long, cold walk back with fifty pounds of gasoline.

Again, have fun, be safe, and drink lots of water! Oh, take photos too, mine mean the world to me.

My last Burning Man was '93 but I'd love to go back again someday.
