It's true. There is a lot more 'gratification' in the non-climbing threads for those willing to wank in them.

too bad supertaco.com is being squatted.
it would be great if someone would get a site like that and move all the OT sh#t over there. keep the front page clean, like yesterday. that way everyone could have their "campfire" and the obsessives could stay here and talk about nothing but climbing.
that said, never happen.
Que LEB and a long winded "Please tell me where i can find another site with people who discuss such interesting topic matter and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah . . . and i really think this young Yebo character was blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

I would have gotten a lot more climbing done over the years
if I didn't have to spend so much time hanging around people
who wanted to talk about climbing all the time.
If not for the "off-topic" posting here, this forum would be
Dead, Dead, Dead.

Trashman, that has been suggested several times since I joined about a year ago. It seems to me that the general consensus, or at least majority, is that it is fine the way it is now, especially if people who start threads indicate in the thread head ™ that it is not about climbing.
But if Chris and company want to split it into different groups, I wouldn’t be against it, though I like it better the way it is now. Anyway, if it were to be split, I would be curious to see how many people who rail against the non-climbing posts visit the non-climbing section. More than one I would say.

Dingy, funny, i thought the same thing as i walked away from the computer.
Only a climber could hang out here for a year plus and still ask questions like "Does freeing the nose mean no rope? if so, i just lost a lot of respect . . . "
i kept trying to find a way that you could have missed that many clues, including a book aledgedly purchased and partially read. climber or not, i could do w/ out the posts by that avatar

Yeah, that or that person is quite stupid. I think it is a troll which actually makes it worse given the long windedness of said posts.

Hey, I can vouch that Juan can still do 3 Pigs at Stoney! I know Rimjob and LEB can't climb that hard.

I saw Juan cranking at STONEY and he knows the "secret handshake"....
But we are all climbers, no?
What supertaco needs is a personal section. With things like:
Belayer, looking for qualified rope gun, to go for the B and Y next tuesday. I'm a SWCC and don't wish to get over my head. Can do double rope or single??! Yours or mine? Three way is OK if 3rd can lead. PM to PO box 4456. You won't be sorry.
Locker...the non climbers stick out like ...well non climbers. Sort of like when turons get lost in C4, you can tell who they are.

Not that my opinion matters, but I don't quite understand why a non-climber would join these threads. Maybe they dig the climbing scene. There are a multitude of forums out there for everyone's interests so go figure. I visit this site to check out the climbing news and pics. The non-climbing stuff is campfire entertainment.

Does getting ones ass up the west side of Mt. Sill from Palaside basin count as "climbing"?

Aunt Flo??? I used that to get out of gym class too.
LEB = DMT - Janet the PTPP ex + 80% Jaybro the birthday boy = T*R
edit / side note: I've heard it called "red tide" in boating circles.

T*R - I've got that info filed away on a 3x5 card, right behind the one that explains how long it takes corn to go from one end of the alimentary canal to the other.
LEB - My surprise isn't at the terminology, but rather the act of having to publicly announce that it is that time of the month. Were PE classes coed?
If only I could have gotten out of running laps by announcing "boner" back in 8th grade.
