Good of you to step up like this. More people should. But really should have been avoided all together.

Kind of apologizing and accusing at the same time really.

Hey Coz. I applaud you for stepping up and apologizing - that takes balls. But this reads like you are just restating your original attack - sorry but that's how it comes across. (Edit - that's just me of course.)

Part of the reason that the community got so upset, is that by posting what you did, you have now linked a series of words together that could do some serious damage to the OP. When you put an accusation like that out on the Interwebz, it becomes permanent public knowledge. There is a chance that someone could take what you said "as a troll" or "in jest" seriously and take the slander even further. An unfounded accusation can have long lasting or permanent results in the real world.

I appreciate the positive things that you contribute to this forum, but I for one would really appreciate it if you were more cautious about what you say online. There are real people on the other side of these keyboards.

Coz just made a brief statement reiterating why he made his original comments in the first place, but the overwhelming majority of his post was the apology. It takes a big person to do that. How many of us here have actually done that? Let's acknowledge that, not throw further criticism at the guy.

Doesn't come across as accusatory to me. Good work, SC.

You are an asset on this forum.

Hey Coz, if you are truly sorry, you might want to revisit this blast from the knott-so-distant past:

Seriously Coz, since you continuously post in the manner that you do, with all the unprovoked attacks and sh#t slinging, not just toward me, but toward all the other good folks too, it is fast becoming a problem that will be addressed. Your list of rants against good people who don't deserve anything like the BS you spew is becoming something to behold. I know you are all growed up now and have found your voice, and unfortunately a fully entertained audience that loves the clown-show to go along with it, but really... The path you are currently on is not a good one, and it is becoming your new legacy. And no, they do not think you're "joking" (as you like to say) as you try to wriggle out of your statements. They mostly think you are a pretty troubled guy that is to a large degree taking away from what the forum is supposed to be about.

We all need a second chance. And in some cases, like me, a 3rd, 4th, 5th.....

Right?

The third time the guy has said he's sorry. How much more does a person have to do?

A person's willingness to accept an apology says as much about that person as it does the person extending it. Give him some credit and move on with your lives.

IMHO, Scott's apology comes across about as sincere as a Chris Brown's apology for beating up his girlfriend Rhianna.

It seems he's just sorry for the way the community reacted to his abusive posts. Action speaks louder than words. Scott has a big history of cyber-bullying on this site as the re-post of Fish's post above shows.

I can forgive his actions this time, moving onward now.

"Sorry guys, but I think its a little wierd the photos that IHP posts as well."

Seriously? I don't think so. The most disturbing thing I saw in the first 100 photos that he has posted is the mangled finger....

Have you seen some of the pictures over the years?

Maybe my "what's inappropriate" meter is off?

A comment about someone being a pedophile "was a troll"?

How stupid do you think we as a community are, coz?

Then you couch your original statement within your apology OP?

I ain't buying it.

Bill, what's your beef?

Do you even remember what you posted? Want a link?

Like Werner said, it is very dangerous to call someone a pedophile. So thank you Coz for apologizing for that.

As for Simons taste in pictures. It wasn't the gill thread that started people getting a bit weirded out. I found his posts of underage looking women on the now deleted boobs thread to be very distasteful. I understand he says they were all over 18 years of age, but its still leaves one feeling dirty to see sexual pictures of women who appear to be younger then they are. It leads to too much dangerous ground. Thats my opinion, and Simon is free to disagree, as I am free to lodge my protests. I do appreciate Werner's defense of Simon, it did help me to see Simon a bit more. But frankly, Simon's opinion of what is okay to post on the internet is disturbing to me and I still have difficulties with that.

And yes.. some people will likely call me a prude for that opinion. But having helped people who were abused as children work through that stuff, I prefer to error on the side banning too much, rather then error on the side of being too permissive.

Once again, just my opinion. I believe our society goes way too far in what it allows. Those young girl beauty pageants are just one example. I don't believe in violence, but I feel very old Testament about some of that.
