hey there say, all...
please, i am doing this portrait for a canada friend...
it is the only pic, out of three she even has, of her dad, that
is clear... he would hve been 80, by now...
no one seems to know what color this was...
tan, or grey, was her guess??
would some of you all know, please...

also, after the pics load, if i am not sure what branch he was in, i will ask her...

hey there say, jim...
wow, hope i had his 'would have been' age right...
He was in the army during WWII. He didn't believe in killing or picking up arms so he contributed to the war effort by helping going into bombed out areas to restore downed phone lines. I'm assuming the photo of him and his sister was taken during the war years

hey there say, jim!!! MAN OH MAN, jim!!!
i am jumping up and down, laughing, (not at the uniform, by the way)...
but WOW!! you did it...
SAME HAT... everything... (as you noticed, it did not post her dad's face... but say, yep, indeed, he had the same hat on!)...
may not have had all the ensignia's, will double check, but same hat,
same button, the whole thing...
thank you sooooo very kindly...
she will be very touched, she does not have other pics, but these, of her dad,as i said...
later i will really surprise her, ... as, ... she has a blurred pic of him
in a really neat snow setting... well, you MUST know: that ol' canada snow, and the winters, :))
(well, i will make her a neat large painting, later, of him in that snow setting... he just had on either an army coat, or long wool coat of somekind, it was just too neat a picture to pass by, for a painting...)
