Purely a guess from Reno but I'd bet it's forming up nicely with a couple weeks of wet weather followed but the last weeks clearer colder weather.

The rain did not treat the ice well, as of two days ago. 3 weeks ago chounaird had good screws the whole way up but main wall was not yet in. Now, chounaird is thin and main nonexistent. Recent cold for the last few days holds hope. The approach is dry until the second river crossing and no big deal. Bard-Harrington is bone dry. Oh SoCal Edison Pipeline Wrenching Gremlins where are you?
