I've seen a few big guys and gals who could rip on ski's too. We had a guy on the high school football team who was a damn fast sprinter and built like that.
Don't underestimate big athletes.

Fat BOI HAD momentum and there was no way he could stop at that point...
No, when you get lined up in front of the swell you are looking left and right, you know who is there, Big boy could have easily backed off, he chose to be an azz.

Imagine how much better he would be if he dropped even 15% of that fat?
Its not making him a better surfer. And frankly I'm amazed he's managed to stay that size considering how good of a surfer he is, surfing wrecks your body (in a good way) and demolishes calories.
Though, As they say, the six pack is made in the kitchen

How much foam is in that board? I wonder what the glassing schedule is...
My guess:
board = 8'1" x 24", nose = 16", tail = 17", thickness = 4.5", very full rails
glass = 6x6x4patch bottom + 8x8x6x6patch deck.
It looked like a single stringer... but I'd put three in for this guy.

She aint a girl either.. haha..
The guy is proud of being fat.. read the interview about him linked on the first page. I do wonder how he can be that fat and surf the way he does. When I surfed a lot I was skinny as a rail and could eat anything I wanted. Of course I was also in my 20s.

Dat one big bugga RIPS,Cuz!
Yep he totally burned that dude on that one wave!
He looks to me like a happy and friendly fellow and one that I would like to have running interference for me in a busy and aggressive lineup.
I surf with some pretty big Hawaiian guys and usually have no problem.
The ones that get me are the guys that really didn't get good a trad surfing because of their size. THEN, they buy an SUP and they can get any wave they want and take all that they want. That's when ya just gotta go late and get in behind them a few times. Often it's quite embarrassing to them and they get the picture.(end of rant)
I don't think that's the case in this video. They are probably friends that surf together all the time.

T*R, congratultions on standiing up and calling on the bullying comments. I will join you.
I ask those of you who made those awful comments if you would like for anyone to talk to or about your loved ones that way. We are supposed to teach others about respect for one another and the harm of bullying. Name calling is a form of abuse and is wrong. There's just way too much of it on most of these threads . Please "Stop The Bullying" . Let it begin with each and every one of us.
