If anyone wants a piece of history for the bookshelf it looks like someone is selling a mint Roper Green! And she claims the proceeds go to a cool cause. A bit spendy I suppose, but this book was THE definitive guidebook!

Here's the lady's description:

Here is an excellent shape , looks almost new, copy of a Climber's Guide to Yosemite Valley 1975 a Sierra Club totebook that looks new except for my late husbands boyhood signature on the inside cover. There are maps inside.... All proceeds feed hungry horses. Thank you for your kindness.

There's been so many of those books sold.

With little searching I've always been able to dig up a copy selling somewhere in the 10 dollar range. I've seen slightly used/damaged copies going for much less.

Like Basic/Advanced Rockcraft. You can still find copies under 5 bucks.

They're both probably cheaper now than when they first sold.

That is actually the "newer" green. The older ones had a plastic cover held together with screws. Still have mine. This one looks in good condition.

What about one that has a Kor signature on the page with the West Buttress?

Oh, dang! I need to replace one of the binding post screws in mine. I was hoping to cannabalize this one to replace it. C'est la vie.

Put 'em on TV and they start bragging...LOL.

I'd give ya two dollars just to read the page, Ron, rented by the hour?

I bet the one pictured goes at $50.

You should talk to Merry B. She knows...
