why "say what you want"?
Clinton kicked the repubs asses.
Always did.
Willard Romney can barely speak for 45 seconds without getting confused.
Bush 4.5 seconds.
Koch Bros 0 seconds (in their case money does the talking)
Koch Industries [is] one of the top ten air polluters in the United States.
“The Kochs are on a whole different level. There’s no one else who has spent this much money. The sheer dimension of it is what sets them apart. They have a pattern of lawbreaking, political manipulation, and obfuscation. I’ve been in Washington since Watergate, and I’ve never seen anything like it. They are the Standard Oil of our times.”

Brilliant orator. Succinct and engaging. Told the story as it is. And as it should be.
I love the man and his Presidency, but I'm sad to say I think he may have Parkinsons.

OK!
Other than wolves, I have been staying off the Politi----TARD threads.
I can't help myself tonight
If you listened to Clinton with "an open mind & some intelligence?"
(that is asking a lot)
You will realize the Republicans are full of schist.
By the way!
I am a "Registard” Republican.

I don't have a television, am not a US citizen, but still thought Clinton made a great speech. I hope that Obama comes out swinging in his speech, but also looking to the future. A little less rhetoric than is his wont.

I was a registered Republican too--for 20 years and voted for Reagan twice. Sadly, today's Republican party has wondered way off into fantasy land.

Interesting observation. If so, it's not bad. I know from personal experience (not me, observation). Will have to re-watch the vid.

Clinton was, of course, brilliant. Not only a brilliant speaker but brilliant with the facts and the politics.
Because he doesn't have to deal with the Republicans in Congress, he could be more direct and incisive, could ruffle more Republican feathers. I was hoping he'd use the "lie" word but he never did, and that is probably a good thing politically.
I think he'll bring out the best in Obama tomorrow night. Remember, Obama can also be a very good orator.

"Reins", please. That being the thingies one uses to control horses.
"Reign" is how Republicans behave when they're president. They think they're kings.

I really liked Clinton's message of working together with the opposition. He had compliments for Reagan, both Bushes, and said them in a very appropriate way.
I think this is what people actually want....not a scorched-earth winner-take-all deathmatch. When we saw that with the debt ceiling, it resulted in real harm to the country that may persist for decades.
I think that Obama is going to have a theme that goes after the trap he set for the Repubs: We built it, as they now say.
I think he is going to talk about the American tradition of Pride.....and humility. We generally understand that we owe a great deal to our teachers, our mentors, our parents, and to some, their God.
It astonishes me that Republicans reject that. That they consider the universe as centered upon them, and reject all of the above INCLUDING GOD.
Wow.

Relative to a Bill Clinton speech, best comment of the night.

What are you starting a new political thread for? You must just be bored and your wife wouldn't listen to you any more. Go put this in the other thread. You should be banned.
The rest of you are hypocrites.
Kinda funny, but you really should stick to just the photos, the one thing you seem to be good at.

Jody...I would agree with you normally...I try to stick to doing trip reports but was inspired by his speech regardless of politics...and you should have ended your post after shaming me. But your "hypocrites" line gives you away.......and I climbed all last week in TM. Not too bored. As for being banned, so throw me out of San Quentin.......
