i was hiking and i only took that climb on wimb.......... which is how i discovered i liked climbing in the first place......people below only did what i told them to do which was tell me where to put my feet no one including myself, knew at all what they were doing!! hence, the big hydro pack on my back and stupid climbing position!!! i do understand the concept of shifting weight and just weight in general being an issue for both longevity and balance! here is some of my gear... since u guys r so oppionated, and strangley judgemental (?) i trust ull give me an honest opionion of the suitability of my gear

Hi supamommy..
This is kind of a strange forum for beginners until someone actually takes you climbing and confirms who you are. This forum suffers from the troll virus and so beginners aren't trusted. Good luck with finding someone to teach you. That is if you aren't a troll. Those first steps are tough ones.

ok i just googled troll and i gotta tell u i work full time because my mom just died less than a month ago and i inherated a house im an only child who is not married so the bills are all on me. i make 8 an hr because im working and going thru colllege at the same time. wiki says the definition of a troll on the net is someone whom interupts a disscussion or forum pretending to b naive on the subject and for the purpose of an emotional reaction. none of which i have time for. i just want to b happy and fit and ive found that climbing does that for me. no one here is willing to try it w me or knows how to teach it which is y i would put myself out there on here like this cause this is the only way im gonna learn to use that gear and do what i love.

Don't try Buddy Miles or his buddy Jimi. They are not climbing much these days. Maybe Tall Boy?

"...and didn't know what it was."
Well (just just in case yer real) lesson number one! Since you have no credible history on the rope, I would't use it for anything other than a toprope, or perhaps a haul line! It could have held a mega fall, had a boulder crush it and damaged the core, or been used to haul a car or two...etc! Climbers get very personal when it comes to their rope.
