Is that good? Ask the folks that live there.
They may not be so inclined.

More NPS land = higher level of land "management" like closing campgrounds and cliffs due to nesting birds.
AWESOME!!
Not sure if there is much of interest to climbers in that area but if there is I can't say NPS taking over some NFS acreage seems all that great.

It's basically forest land that's previously been logged. It was supposed to be within the original NP boundary, but they left it out due to timber interests. Quite a history there, actually.

As I understand it, the land is now in private hands. If the BLA passes, the park can present a bid to purchase the land. It would move the land from private to public lands. I suppose this is how we expand our National Parks. Takes an act of Congress.

Heck, there's even a link to encourage Senator Feinstein to vote on the bill.

Should raise the value of your place in Yo West, as it will prevent development in those parcels?

Clint, I don't believe it'll raise YoWest property values. While it would exclude development on the adjacent parcels, it's hard to judge if any of that would raise or lower the property values.

There are few full-time residents in YoWest, it's mostly B&Bs now. I imagine any new developments in the area would tend towards the same.
