I had one of the best weekends climbing EVER. All thanks to Kevin Powell who let us trash his home and yard. It was 1979 all over again, I was able to hang out with some of the boys and girls who were there back in the day. It was really fine.
Thank you Kevin.

A big high five from me too for Kevin and Laura's wonderful hosting of this party. I had more fun there Sat. night, then I have had in way too long. I guess all the flashbacks they promised me back in the 60s and 70s finally showed up.

There were so many good old friends there that I hadn't seen in so long, I felt like I had a smile plastered on my face all night. Parties like that are few and far between for me and this one was something speical.

Too all youze guys I saw there, thanks for da memories (again)

Thanks Kevin and Laura for organizing the gathering. We needed someone to stop talking about it and just do it. You made it happen and we all appreciate it.

Yes, Kevin is a rock star and we all really appreicate his hospitality in allowing all of us to reconect and get reinspired at his house. Some folks have discussed having an annual Joshua Tree climbers party to keep the inertia going. Hopefully someone other than Kevin will step up to the plate and organize such a low stress get together next year.

One final piece of housekeeping is Kevin's somewhat significant financial outlay for food and porto-potties. Hopefully all participants who did not make a donation's to Kevin's party fund can send a check to defray his costs. I don't have his mailing address, but hopefully someone can post that for interested donators.

See ya all next year!

Climbing with Rick, John and Robs Saturday brought back memories. Holding the rope for you, Randy, Darrel, Johnny on Sunday was a pleasure!

Thanks Kev and Laura.
The shindig exceeded my wildest expectations. I am still in shock and my dreams (and days) are filled with the best memories. I can still barely get to sleep.
The crust was thick and the incredible energy palpable. Some of us were young and some were old, most all were on top of the world. Pretty much everybody was AOK!!
Sweet, awesome, RAD, etc. etc.
Rock climbers rule the world (I wish).
Love to all.
