Two of my favorite personality pieces from a while back.
Nerve Wrack Point and Hands appeared in the July 1974 issue of Mountain magazine. Paul Nunn's intro ties these two pieces together wonderfully.
I started a thread about Hands here...

Unpretentious and serious....both afraid and fearless.
Qualities we should all aspire to.
Higgins, the master word-guy, on Ament, the master hold-guy.
A lot of thanks, Steverino.

Did this (Nerve Wrack Point) a number of years ago with Brad Young, excellent route, run out beyond belief especially if you go straight up from the belay on the second pitch and miss the two 1/4 inchers on the pitch like I did. Would love to do it again but I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!!!
