Looking to bail a vehicle somewhere outside yosemite for 2 weeks in May. If anyone on here lives nearby or reasonably close we could work out compensation for your services. Vehicles would be tarped and the ground beneath covered to prevent property damage from any potential leaking fluids. Thanks everyone!

why not just park it in the valley ?

I was working at the Ahwahnee in winter 01' , I was young and ignorant. I filled my radiator with water because water was free. First really cold night , water freezes , freeze plugs blow in the engine , my Honda ain't going anywhere . I leave the valley , leave the Honda parked in the Ahwahnee parking lot , I basically write it off.

Fast Forward four months , I scrape some money together to rent a tow dolley , make a call to see if my old Honda is there , sure enough it is . I go retrieve my car and get it fixed down south .

By the way the Yosemite garage wanted $900 to fix the freeze plugs ...

Bail?

Just leave it in the middle of the road on 140 and CHP will take care of it for you .....

The people in El Portal or other locals that could provide a place for you to park your rig generally don't read this stupid forum. :-)

Go to El Portal and broadcast your message in person there when you get here.

That's my advice ......

I parked mine in Sonora just on a random city street for 3 months while climbing in Asia and had no problems? Really don't see the problem with parking in the valley. But, I suspect locals in portel would be more than OK helping you out.

Just park in employee housing in the valley man. Me and my crew have gotten away with it for years on end
