I remember this stuff... You were giving the Schumps weed down there on the tree ledge..... he is giving me tension for the critical weight shift... I POP, the rope jumps the Schumps back (hip belay) and I'm doing a Tom Petty (freeeee-fallllin) and bolts are zipping past..... until I grab the rope and stop myself before cratering on the ledge. Isn't that how that went? What was that thing anyway? Hesitation? Sundance? none of the above?
Side note: that was the 2nd time the rope jumped his back. 1st time on Taquitz on the Sham. Popped... whistled about 20 then went off a roof and through some bushes.... giant ripper.... huge rope burns for the Schumps.

Except I'd Underscore the bit where, while I was astutely Handling the Beer and Pipe Loads, I was also Multi Tasking, cuz I had to Harangue Schemps as he was looking all about his waist for the wizzing Rope.
Best Part, heheh, After Plummeting a good 15/20', You Just Got FED UP, and summarily employed the critical self belay, by reaching over and grabbing the rope on your own. That was FANCY DUDE!
