Heading out this weekend, and am looking to test out my bum hip with a little stemming action. I remember seeing some bolts in the corridor, with the boulder problem to the right of Jane's addiction. My old Vogel book lists a few routes, but it's been years since I've been in there. Just curious if there are any anchors up top, or is there a walk off? I've always wanted to do "firewater chimney", but I need to test the leg out first. Thanks!!

Can't help you on your real question, but it was sort of humorous this past weekend all the tourist hikers that were aimlessly hiking everywhere around Hall of Horrors this weekend asking if we knew "where the hallway is?" Apparently, they were looking for some sort of spooky corridor...

And it's not even Hallowe'en yet.

How did the area get its name?

It's a cool little corridor, to the right of "Janes addiction". About 200' long, and about 6' wide. There's a fun 30' gunsmoke like traverse in the hallway. On the right are a few routes, .10ish face climbs, but they can be "cheated" by stemming off the back wall. As for the name, I'm not sure, although we've seen quite a few small animal bones in there. It's a pretty cool chill spot, the wife and I used to take a guitar and drum out there and hang out. Cool acoustics, and a nice place to get out of the wind at 4:20...

Thanks B- I know where that is, it's been awhile for me too. I figured there was, just wasn't sure.

Jane's is pretty much right across from Nurn's Romp and Exercist.

The corridor has routes on both sides. The left side has a 5.10 or two, the right side is mostly .11s and .12s. Its possible to walk to the top of the left (W) side, but no fixed anchors. The right side had anchors in the past, but that was a while ago. If there is no anchor, then you could simul-rap or do a wicked chasm jump across! The right side is taller than the left, so its a one-way jump. That said, the routes on the right side are pretty sweet!

No chasm jumping for me.. I figured if I had to, I could bring an extra rope, and use the wife as an anchor, and rap the outside of the corridor. Last time I was there, there was one bolt on the right side, I think the route is "no option", there were also a few hangerless studs on a route to it's left. I mainly just want to rig a Top rope, and run a few laps, and see if my leg falls off or not. Plus, it's a nice and shady spot...
