I'm looking to fork over the hefty amount of green to purchase a pair of these. Unfortunately, I haven't found any place in LA that sells my size. A-16 only sells size 41 and up. REI only has them online.

Anybody know where I can score a pair and still get out of town before Carmegedon?

I know this probably isn't the right size, but I am selling a pair that are size 38 for $100. They have been worn once, on one route. Get in touch. If not you, anyone who reads this and is looking... contact me.

Thanks,
Catherine.

Edited, I see you are trying to get a pair quickly and avoid online...? Sorry for the thread drift in that case..... Good luck in your search.

"Slightly" soiled is putting it kindly.

Good tips on JT, etc. Unfortunately I'm heading in the opposite direction.

they take almost as long as old-skool shoes to break in through the instep, so unless your foot is shaped exactly like tommy's, chances are good you'd not get to use them as yr only shoe this trip anyway.

unless yr a sport climber.

or hang out at donner.

They work straight out of the box if you have a Sportiva foot; narrow, high volume, high arch.

You headed north? Sunrise, Marmot, the valley, granite arch in sacto

Thank TY (and everyone else, but Cancer Boy) but I needed 39.5s. Looks like I'll make due with either the skin tight Miuras or floppy Mythos.
